What's the best way to RSVP? When is the deadline?

Answer

All RSVPs were due Sept. 28th and have been submitted to our vendors. Please message Kendrick or Carmen if you have any questions!

Is there a Dress Code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Think cocktail dresses or a suit and tie. Our wedding takes place mid-fall, so be prepared for chillier nights as well. You are welcome to wear dressier outfits like floor-length dresses or tuxes, but it is optional! Just please try to refrain from wearing lighter colors if possible; sticking to a Fall color palette would be best.

What time should I arrive to the wedding ceremony?

Answer

Doors to the venue will open at 4:30 pm, while the ceremony begins at 5 pm. Due to the layout of the venue, doors to the ceremony courtyard will close promptly at 5 pm. Guests arriving after that time will have to be asked to wait for the Cocktail Hour to begin to gain entry.

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place in the outdoor courtyard. Entry can be accessed through the black door off to the side of the building from the street. Then, the cocktail hour will take place upstairs inside the venue. A wheelchair lift is available to those who need more accessible transportation to the upper level. Lastly, the reception will take place inside NOVA 535's center ballroom.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

In November, St. Petersburg experiences temperatures reaching no higher than 85 degrees and no lower than 65 degrees, on average. We do recommend dressing accordingly, even though the majority of the event will be spent indoors. If rainy weather occurs, the ceremony will simply be moved inside where the reception takes place. Then, the cocktail hour will be directly upstairs, or if the weather lets up, outside in the courtyard. This, of course, will all be played by ear on the day of the event, but the preferred plan is to have the ceremony outside in the courtyard. NOVA 535 offers the exceptional ability to host these events smoothly, whether there is rain or shine.

How do I get to the wedding venue? Will transportation be provided?

Answer

NOVA 535 is located at 535 Dr M.L.K. Jr St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33701. Transportation is not provided, but parking is free and provided by the venue. The parking lot is located directly across the street from the venue's entrance and has up to 90 spots available. We have placed a directory for parking spaces under the "Travel" section of our website.

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Unfortunately, we are only able to accommodate the children in the wedding party. We politely ask that you RSVP according to the specific names listed on your invitation.

I have dietary restrictions/allergies. What's the best way to let you know?

Answer

Through our fantastic caterer, there will be a vegan option to choose from when you RSVP. If you have specific dietary needs aside from this, please do not hesitate to let us know and we can give word to our caterer ahead of time to accommodate you!

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes, there will be an open bar starting at 5:30 pm, which is roughly the time that the cocktail hour begins and will last until 9:30 pm. You are welcome to purchase drinks, cash or credit, after 9:30 pm up until the venue closes at 10 pm.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

Answer

We kindly ask that you silence or turn off all cell phones or mobile devices during the ceremony. The ceremony will be strictly "unplugged". However, we strongly urge you to take as many photos as possible during the cocktail hour and reception! We will have a few QR codes placed throughout the venue where you can scan it and share your photos with us through the PhotoCircle app. A photo booth will also be provided during the reception outside in the courtyard where you can take home your own comic strip of photos!

Do you have a wedding registry? Can I bring my gift to the wedding?

Answer

You can access our registry directly through our wedding website under the section "Registry". We have created a house-fund and honeymoon-fund, as well as an Amazon registry. For those who choose to bring a gift on the day of the event, there will be a designated table and card box located just inside the center ballroom accessible at the beginning of cocktail hour.
