Our first date was at Starbucks. Immediately I was attracted to the beautiful woman in the black dress in front of me. I offered, but she insisted she buy her own drink, a sign of her strong independence. Most of the time she was checking her cellphone and texting, leaving me to wonder if she was even interested in me. Later I found out that she was juggling many familial obligations. Family is of the utmost importance for her. I couldn’t help asking her out again and again. Even so, you couldn’t have convinced me then that this would be the love of my life. I only knew I was drawn to her. Every date unveiled a whole new characteristic of this incredible woman’s character and personality. Before I knew it, I was in love.
