If you'd like to take part please reserve your slot by paying via this link: https://linkexperiences.com/index.php/product/preweddingquito/. Please make sure you pay before as no payments will be taken on the day. Pick up is at 9am from Hotel Kaia, which is on Valladolid N24-742 y Julio Zaldumbide, and we will be coming back at 3pm.
On Tuesday 10th September we recommend you take part in a trip up Pichincha volcano. Located at the edge of Quito, you can take a cable car to 3,945m up Pichincha, the mountain which overlooks the city. At the top there’s 2 small cafes that offer light snacks and empanadas. From there you can hike up to the swing which is a popular spot to take some snaps and enjoy the view. Bring a warm jacket - it gets really cold up there! Easily accessible by taxi from the city. Afterwards, we recommend a trip to the local artisanal market (Mercado Artesanal), where you will be able to purchase souvenirs and local products from local producers and craftsmen.
For those coming for a bit longer and craving a bit more adventure, we recommend a trip to Baños. Located only 4 hours from Quito, here you can do things like rafting, canyoning, biking and hiking. It's a popular spot with tourists and locals alike, and there are plenty of options to eat and drink in town. If you'd like to coordinate a trip to Baños please contact Juan Xavier at juanxavier@grupo-link.com.
These hot spring thermal baths are located about 2 hours from Quito, and they are the perfect place to relax and enjoy the pure mountain air. Make sure you book in advance, and enquire about their spa facilites in case you'd like to treat yourself to something special.
This restaurant changes every 3 months: a new chef, from abroad, takes over the kitchen and recreates his/her food with Ecuadorian ingredients. The current chef is Dimas Pratama from Indonesia.
This old colonial building is now a high end boutique hotel and restaurant. If you feel like splashing out you will definitely enjoy this!
Sushi in Ecuador is a must try. Super fresh ingredients and interesting flavour combinations make this one of the best things to eat while visiting.
Amazing wings and a great selection of local artisanal beer.
