It all started at Kent State University during Bill's first semester there and the beginning of Carmen's junior year. They had their first class together, String Methods, and Carmen was wearing a blue dress. Bill was not. As the semester progressed, Bill kept badgering her to hang out. For each of these attempts, Carmen turned him down. Every. Single. Time. Eventually, Carmen agreed to hang out; but she invited a bunch of people to Bill's dismay. According to Carmen, Bill lingered after everybody left and this made her realize that he might be interested in her. THIS IS WHAT DID IT! NOT THE CONSTANT ASKING TO DO SOMETHING. Ehem... excuse me. Within the next couple of weeks, Bill asked Carmen to go to see a Tower of Power cover group in Boardman and she actually agreed! After this, it was all history! .... until they broke up... Three years later, there was a wedding of two horn graduates from Kent State where both Carmen and Bill were invited. During the reception, Carmen kept stealing Bill's seat at his table. It was driving him insane to keep losing his seat, but this prompted them to have conversation again. The conversation went well and Bill thought that Carmen was being flirty; when in actuality, she was a little tipsy. Conversation continued for a couple of weeks after the wedding and then they decided to try to date again... and here we are!
