How we met

January 14th 2021

(Natalie’s point of view) I met Jason on a cold night in January 2021 in an outdoor cafe (COVID days). And my life was changed forever. Even though I was disheartened by countless dates with the wrong men, I decided to give online dating one last chance. I swiped right on Jason's profile, unknowingly that it would be my last swipe. Our first date led to many more dates, texting, and phone conversations late into the night. Our connection was real and strong and my feelings for him intensified as the days passed. He has become my soulmate, my lover, and my best friend. I have fallen deeply in love and could not wait to spend the rest of my life with him.

The Proposal

May 13th 2023

(Jasons’ point of view) I knew Natalie was the one, very early on in our relationship. Whenever I look into her eyes, I can see a lifetime of love, happiness, and companionship. And after dating her for a little over two years, I knew it was time to ask her to be my wife. She has become the most important person in my life, she is truly my soulmate. It was Mother's Day and we were eating dinner at the White House Restaurant in Anaheim, joined by Natalie's parents and grandmother. To everyone else, it was a normal dinner filled with conversation, good food, and drinks. To me, it was the furthest thing from a normal dinner. I was trying my absolute hardest to keep up with the conversation and act normal, but all I could feel was the weight of the ring in my pocket. I was looking for the "perfect" moment and I had to wait till the end of the meal. It was almost as if my mind and body went into autopilot and everything was in slow motion. It was as though I was watching myself from across the table. I stood up, knocking my chair over, and announced I had something I needed to say. I got on one knee and proposed, speaking faster than I could think. The speech I went over a hundred times in my head went completely out the window. Natalie said yes and we both got very teary-eyed. It was a feeling of happiness like I had never felt before.
