Robert and Carmella met in the spring of 2017. The couple went on their first date on May 18, 2017 (Robert would later have this date engraved in Carmella's engagement ring as an extra surprise) to McNally's in Scranton. Robert ate a cheeseburger with a fork and knife and Carmella will never let him live it down. After a few more dates, the couple became inseparable. They met each other's friends and family and went on many different trips and adventures before deciding to move in with each other in February 2019. After living in peace and harmony together (insert Robert eye roll here) for a few months, Robert overheard Carmella's father telling a story about how "Mataloni women get engaged at Thanksgiving." Robert proposed to Carmella on November 28th, 2019...Thanksgiving Day. The couple had originally planned to be married on January 30, 2021, but the pandemic put a hold on those plans. Both Robert and Carmella decided they wanted to celebrate with all of their friends and family and so the wedding was moved to Thanksgiving weekend of 2021. A fitting and picture-perfect new date. Robert and Carmella share a dog named, Bernie, who completes their little family. The couple continues to patiently wait for their big day. Both are looking forward to safely celebrating with all of their friends and family later this year.
