Please dress appropriately but do not feel the need for traditional wedding attire. There will not be a tuxedo, or wedding party in suits, or bridal party wearing matching dresses. Instead we encourage everyone to come in Garden Formal which includes clothing that is both formal, while welcoming a look that is more colorful, outdoorsy, and summertime friendly. This would include a mid or knee length dress, dress pants, slacks, collared shirt, bow tie or tie, and sport coat if you'd prefer. Linen, cotton, and silk fabrics as well as patterns such as florals, plaid, and stripes are all welcome! If you have any doubts or questions, do not hesitate to send us what you're thinking of wearing for a thumbs up or thumbs down.
The ceremony will begin at 3:30 pm. Please plan to arrive between 3:00-3:20 pm. Cocktail Hour will begin at 4:00 pm, followed by the Reception from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Formal pictures will be taken after the ceremony and throughout cocktail hour.
Cocktail hour will be hosted outside the main reception area and will include a variety of outdoor and lawn games for everyone to participate in. While there will not be a wedding party, anyone who wishes to make a 2-5 minute speech or toast during the reception, please just reach out privately to the bride and groom to arrange a time so that we can plan ahead and notify our photographer and venue coordinator. Anyone who plans a dramatic mid-ceremony objection should also provide advanced notice as a courtesy.
