Our first date was over happy hour tacos and margaritas. We met in Princeton at Two Sevens. I proposed a walk in Witherspoon Woods, a local climbing area. At dusk, we heard noises and a growling. We were startled to find a wild raccoon chasing us out of its woods. We grabbed each others hands for the first time and went into the night.
It became clear that we were inseparable. I've always felt like the symbol of marriage, a ring, should be of love. I searched for the right ring, that wasn't sourced from the mines. I found a conflict-free custom ring and ordered it. We had plans to visit South Africa, where my Dad's from. I was so excited to propose, wishing and waiting for it to come before our trip. There was a few thousand beautiful scenic moments there I would've loved to pop the question. It was a great trip and it was cemented in my heart, she was the right choice. When we were away, the ring came in. I proposed to her at dinner on our favorite day of the week “Taco Tuesday” and it felt perfect. -Trevor
