Carly and Mack met the old-fashioned way—on a dating app. Mack was immediately drawn to Carly’s adventurous spirit (or at least her Chacos suggested she had one), and Carly liked that Mack seemed as obsessed with live music as she was. After some solid banter and a few well-placed emojis, they decided to meet for a "quick bite" at a fried chicken joint in Grand Rapids. That bite turned into much more—from rock climbing, camping and concerts, to bike rides and backpacking, they soon realized that maybe the swipe right machine had finally done it's job. When Carly took the reins on helping manage their first investment property in Grand Rapids, Mack had already figured out his best investment yet—her. Fast forward to a Florida beach trip with friends. Mack, true to his cold-plunge-loving ways, suggested an early morning dip in the ocean. Carly, always up for an adventure (and unaware of the real plan), agreed to tag along. With the sunrise painting the sky and Bob Marley playing on their trusty UE Boom speaker, Mack dropped to one knee—not for balance, but for the biggest question of his life. He asked Carly to spend forever traveling, dancing, and, of course, enjoying the occasional fried chicken sandwich. Now they’re diving headfirst into their greatest adventure yet—marriage!
