Carly & Ryan first visited Sorrento, Italy together in the fall of 2019, while Ryan visited Carly during her semester abroad in Florence, Italy. Carly surprised Ryan and booked a few nights at the Grand Hotel Royal for his birthday and they both fell in love with the hotel and the city, returning together 4 times since. The coastal views of Mount Vesuvius, lively downtown, extremely kind people, romantic sunsets, lemon farms, and of course, the wine and food, all contributed to their awe of Sorrento and the special role Sorrento has played in their relationship. Carly & Ryan both knew that Sorrento would be the perfect landscape and opportunity to bring their closest family and friends to celebrate their marriage and have the trip of a lifetime all together.
