Grizzly Bear Refuge, Hiking, or Sightseeing at Kicking Horse
This event is included as part of your adventure pass which is a 2 day gondola and chair lift pass that allows you to sightsee, hike, visit Boo the Grizzly and enjoy what the mountain has to offer. Take the chair lift up to visit Boo who is an orphaned grizzly bear now 18 years old living in a 13 acre enclosure on the mountain. A guide will walk you through his story and you can get up close for lots of photos of Boo.
Golden Golf Club
Play a round of golf beside the Columbia River at Golden Golf Club. Just a short 15 minute drive from the resort.
Via Ferrata
Via Ferrata (Italian for iron path) is a secured climbing route at Terminator Peak at the top of Kicking Horse. A guide will walk you through the course where you will harness up and clip on and off up ladders and over bridges. There is a 20% discount for all wedding guests to take part in this activity.
Mountain Biking
Kicking Horse offers a variety of mountain biking trails. Feel free to bring your bike and use the extra adventure pass day to ride the mountain.
The Wolf Den
There are lots of places to eat in Golden but we really enjoyed our meal at The Wolf Den for a wide variety of burgers, appys and drinks.
Enchanted Forest
We passed by this on the way to the venue and thought this may be a great stop for the kids.
Skytrek Adventure Park
We haven’t tried this ourselves but saw this as an option with the Enchanted Forest.
Reposados
Checked out this place when visiting Golden a few months before the wedding and loved it. They have amazing tacos and Mojitos.
