There is a walking path along the Erie Canal. There are many places to go for a walk, grab a bite to eat, or stop for a drink. Our favorite places include Lock 32 Brewing, Label 7, Carmella's Wine Bar, and Neutral Ground Coffeehouse.
Our favorite dinner spot in Rochester is Vern’s, located right on Park Avenue in the city. This area is perfect for walking and offers excellent cocktails, a wide variety of dining options, and great coffee spots. Other favorites nearby include Dorado (Mexican), Leonore’s, Roux (French), and Magnolia’s. There are also several great coffee shops in the area, including Cafe Sasso, The Chai Guy, and Pearson’s Coffee House.

Rochester has some fantastic spots for guests who appreciate a great pour or a well-crafted cocktail (especially our whiskey lover friends): The Daily Refresher – A must-visit for whiskey fans, offering one of the largest whiskey (over 300+ whiskeys) selections in the city along with expertly crafted classic cocktails. Iron Smoke Distillery – A local favorite for small-batch bourbon and whiskey, featuring tastings and a lively, rustic atmosphere just outside the city. Black Button Distilling – Rochester’s hometown distillery, known for craft spirits and creative whiskey cocktails with a rich local history. Grace & Disgrace – An intimate cocktail bar perfect for refined whiskey drinks and a cozy, upscale vibe. Cheshire – A stylish, relaxed spot offering thoughtfully made cocktails, many featuring whiskey and bourbon.
