Question

Will the mountain top ceremony happen if there is inclement weather?

Answer

If weather prevents an outdoor ceremony for one reason or another (rain, smoke, snow, etc), Schweitzer has the option of moving the ceremony inside the main lodge at the base of mountain. Luckily, early July is typically the best weather of the year so we are crossing our fingers the mountain ceremony will proceed as planned. We will definitely let you know if anything changes!

Is there an option to drive up to the ceremony?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to mountain bikers that are going up and down the mountain, there is no way of safely driving to the ceremony on the summit. Taking the chairlift up is the only way to attend the ceremony. Luckily, the lift operators naturally slow the chairlift down 8 times in the summer months, and can slow it down even more if requested or needed. The typical journey from top to bottom takes around 10-15 minutes. The staff at Schweitzer is very accommodating and therefore we hope this does not stop you from attending the ceremony!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we love your children, we regretfully cannot accommodate them at the venue due to restricted numbers. We hope you take this as an opportunity to take the night off and enjoy some much deserved relaxation and fun!! Of course, if this is a deal-breaker for you or your family, please contact us directly so we can see if there is any way to accommodate to your needs.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to the very limited seating and space discussed in the previous question, we are most likely saving a spot for only you, unless specified on your individual invitation! Always feel free to contact either of us directly if you have any questions or concerns regarding plus ones.
