Getting tide down...

In beloved St. Petersburg, FL. They were both at a bar called 'The Five Buck Drinkery', Jake celebrating a friend's birthday, and Carly celebrating her friends being in town for the weekend. The music was playing and Carly and her best gal pal, Rachel, were dancing the night away. After a while, this breath-taking tall, dark, handsome man approached Carly and Rachel and introduced himself as new to the town. There was something different about Jake than the other guys at the bar... confident in his own skin and not trying to impress anyone (but Carly of course). And so, Carly attempted something she had never done before. She asked for his number.

Carly quickly realized she had made a mistake asking for Jake's number. That is until one terribly rainy day (one month later!), she received a text from Jake, "Some storm, huh?". They went bowling in the middle of a tropical storm and the rest was history.

The same day that Jake closed on his first ever house, Carly got a job interview in Boston. After dating only four months, Carly did not expect Jake to follow her across the country, that's crazy... right? With a huge leap of faith, Jake decided to rent his property out and move all the way to Boston with Carly. It was an instant connection they both couldn't afford to lose... Three and a half years later, he did it again! Carly got into the PhD program of her dreams, and Jake, the most supportive and loving fiance known to mankind, helped pack up their things for California. The words "I will love you to the ends of the Earth" were really tested with us, and it's been a beautiful adventure!
