We met working together at a restaurant. We bonded over a shared love of food and cooking and a shared hate of working in the restaurant. In the early days of our relationship we spent our time making bread and surprising each other with silly ingredients to make dinner inspired by the food network show "Chopped".

In the early morning on June 25th 2023, Conor set up some surprise "chopped" ingredients to play the game again for the first time in years. Each ingredient was lined up and hidden under an upside down bowl. When Carly lifted the final bowl in the line, an engagement ring was underneath. She was very surprised. It was just the two of them and the cats in their home. A perfect moment.
