We went on our first date to Rose Valley Lake on May 18th, 2018. We met up and talked the whole way there while listening to Eric Church. It was a beautiful warm night. We spend the rest of the daylight talking and fishing. Fishing during Rose Valley sunsets in the summer would become a staple of our relationship. We ended up stopping at a Dunkin' Donuts after the sun set. We sat and talked for 2 hours and immediately clicked not realizing the time. Dunkin' soon became a part of us as well. We would go to get coffee and stare out the window watching cars pass and talking about what led us to the moment we met. The rest is history..

For our 3 year anniversary we went to Ocean City, Maryland. We spent the weekend in a hotel by the boardwalk. We ended up going to dinner and Colton wanted to go to Assateaque after dinner. We ended up having to wait a lot longer for a table, and longer for our food. He insisted on still going to the beach. I was confused because it was completely dark out. We ended up grabbing flashlights and going on a late night walk on the beach. He told me to close my eyes and listen to the waves and enjoy the sounds. When I opened my eyes he was on one knee asking me to marry him. We both shared that moment together alone with happy tears.
