FAQs

Question

What is the attire for the wedding?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is formal. Long or mid-length dresses for women, and suits and ties for men. Just a step above cocktail! Given it's a spring wedding, we encourage you to have fun with florals, prints, and colors (blue is a great choice!). The ceremony will take place on grass, so keep that in mind when choosing shoes. Dinner and dancing will be indoors. We want everyone to feel your best and enjoy the celebration with us!

Question

What is the attire for the Welcome Party?

Answer

Dressy casual. Think polished but relaxed—perfect for mingling, drinks, and kicking off the weekend. Please note the venue is outside. Sundresses are encouraged! Jeans for guys are okay!

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

While we adore your little ones, this will be an adult-only evening.

Question

Will there be a shuttle to the wedding?

Answer

Yes! The good times begin early! We will have a shuttle picking up from the hotel and dropping off at the wedding venue. We will also have the shuttles returning to the hotel at the end of the evening. If you plan to use the shuttle, please note so when you RSVP!

Question

I want to participate in the Friday golf outting but won't have clubs.

Answer

No problem! We will have multiple rental sets available, please note when you RSVP.

Question

What should I do in Sacramento?!

Answer

Enjoy Carly's hometown! Please see 'What To Do' tab for recommendations, and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out to Carly or the Ayres family!

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outside?

Answer

The ceremony will occur outdoors, followed by cocktail hour at sunset. Afterwards, we'll move indoors for dinner and dancing at the reception.

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

Up to you! Ubers/Lyfts are easy to get in downtown Sacramento or if you have a car, driving around is easy. There is easy parking available at the wedding venue if you prefer to not shuttle. Please do not use public transportation.
