How We Met

Blind date

Cade and I met at Hooters hah. One of my best friends had a friend that wanted to meet me. He tried setting it up a couple of times but I was always too busy. I remember one of my friends telling me that "hes so quite, you wont like him" hah. One night a group of us went to dinner at Hooters and they had invited Cade. Truth be told Cade barely talked to me that night and I honestly thought he was into my friend haha. But Cade texted one of my friends that was there with us to tell her how beautiful he thought I was. Afterwards he walked me to my car and asked me for my number, that was it for us. We spent almost everyday with each other after that.

The Proposal

Perfect

Cade and I love going to Maryland each year to spend Thanksgiving with family! It is such a beautiful place that we both enjoy so much with loved ones. This year Cade and the family worked together to come up with a plan to surprise me! As many of you know Cade has loved to fake propose in public places often since we started dating. While taking pictures he got down on one knee, I honestly thought he was messing with me again and asked him to get up haha. When I finally saw the ring of course I was ecstatic to spend my life with him. I am still unsure that I ever actually said the word "Yes" but we all know that it was implied! I could not have imagined a more perfect proposal. Cannot wait to spend the rest of our lives together! Cade said that he was so nervous he had to take a benadryl before we started driving to calm himself. He said he almost asked me in the car and was going to tell me to act surprised when he did it with the family because of his nerves hah. I am so happy that he waited to do it with everyone there!

Wedding Details

Please be aware that our wedding will be held outside and on uneven ground. We do suggest that women do not wear heels(that of course is up to you), there are plenty of rocks and tree roots that could cause you to fall if you do not have the proper footwear. It is also on a small lake which means that there is some soft ground. As we all know Octobers in North Carolina could have any kind of weather (hot or cold), just be sure to check it! We are overjoyed to celebrate our futures together with all of you and we cannot wait for the day to come! COVID-19: Since we are having our wedding on family land instead of at a venue, we have decided that no matter what happens we will continue on with our wedding as planned. We understand however that if things with the coronavirus are still going on, that some people may not be comfortable attending an event with a large amount of people. We will completely understand if that be the case and you chose not to come. We simply ask that you let us know so that we can figure that into our final numbers for the caterer. We are providing masks if you wish to wear them along with wrist bands to indicate your level of social comfort during COVID. KIDS: As much as we love children we are making this a kid free day. Due to the fact that the wedding is on the water and there will be drinking we would just feel more comfortable if the kids stayed at home. Thank you for understanding. We cannot wait to celebrate with everyone. We are planning starting the ceremony at 4:30, with the reception to follow. We ask that you please try to be there before 4:30 because the entrance for guests is where the wedding party will be entering and there is no other entrance to the ceremony.
