Neither of us can really pinpoint the first moment that we met. We both grew up going to the same church, but we never spent much time around each other. It wasn't until our first mission trip to Haiti in 2016 that we really started to become friends. After that we started to spend more time together at church, but it wasn't until November of 2017, with a little encouragement from just about everyone in the church, that Bradley asked me on our first date. Fast forward about 4 years later, and now we're getting married!
We had discussed marriage several times throughout our relationship. Carly already knew I would eventually propose, but she wasn't exactly sure when or how I would do it. After a few weeks of planning with my family and Carly's friends, the day finally came. To Carly, she was just going out to eat dinner with a group of friends in Greenville. Meanwhile, her friends gave the waitress a fake scavenger hunt and talked her into participating. The scavenger hunt had clues that took her to several spots in downtown Greenville where we had spent time together. Eventually it lead to the balcony at Mary's at Falls Cottage where I was waiting to get down on one knee and pop the question. She said yes and then we went straight to my house to celebrate with family and friends.
