After starting my first job at Anheuser Busch (well 2nd if you count cold calling people for a month & crying everyday), I was so excited to start working for such a great company! Logistics was something I had never even thought about for my career path. I couldn’t believe how much I loved it after the first day. Another perk was this cute boy I spotted from a distance. From there, it become a matter of how could I get a chance to talk to him. I decided sprinting to the water machine everytime he got up from his desk was the plan. After about a month of trying with absolutely no luck, I found out I was moving to another group within logistics. I’ve never had good luck, but I just so happened to be moving into the same group as him! Walking in that Monday morning I couldn’t wait to learn my new role & have a chance to ask this cute guy a million questions. I got in early to get settled (made sure my hair was done & I wore my cutest outfit), to my surprise he didn’t show! I was so bummed & assumed my normal bad luck was back. Where was he? No way could I ask another person in my group, they couldn’t know I had any interest in a co-worker! A week goes by, to my surprise when I walked in the following Monday he was back!! I was so nervous and basically sat in my chair sweating. I couldn’t speak a single question that day. Well the ice was broken when two of my co-workers introduced me in our team meeting (these co-workers I would later refer to as my “work parents”). In fact, they not only pointed out we both played volleyball, were tall, but also would make a cute couple (sorry HR but they’re both retired now). Work help, led to work happy hours, then to sand volleyball leagues & the rest was history. Through moving into different apartments, getting my masters, Adam buying a house, AB job changes (even me moving to Denver), getting our best boy Murphy together, & now Adam starting a project in Canada, we have only began this great crazy life together!
