Towards the end of Covid, when everyone was finally ready to come out of their caves, Michael and Sabrina decided to jump on Tinder and venture back out into the wild that is known as dating in your late 20s. Sabrina was the one to make the first move. Unbeknownst to her, Michael had just paid for the premium version of Tinder and was able to see the profiles that swiped right on him. Once they had officially matched, they talked for nearly four weeks before finally going out on their first date. Their first date was at George and Dragon, an English pub, and even though they had known each other for a month now, sitting together at the bar felt like they were talking for the first time. They spent hours sharing stories and enjoying cocktails, finding comfort and excitement in each other's company. The date ended with Sabrina offering to drive Michael home, and as they said goodnight, they shared a kiss that changed everything. That kiss sparked something profound in both of them. Michael walked upstairs with a hopeful heart, already anticipating a second date. Sabrina, grinning from ear to ear, called her older sister Alicia on her way home. She couldn't contain her excitement as she gushed about the evening, proclaiming in one breath that she had just met her "forever."
Just like Sabrina’s vibrant personality, the proposal had to be extraordinary and unforgettable, something everyone dreams of. With assistance from Alica, Sabrina’s sister and Maid of Honor, every detail was meticulously planned. First, Michael sought the blessings of Luis and Regina, Sabrina’s parents, who played a significant role in the engagement process. He rented a charming Airbnb where friends and family gathered to witness this once-in-a-lifetime moment. The Airbnb was decorated with flowers and a path leading outside. Sabrina remained unaware until she opened the front door, greeted by a scene that moved her to tears. Both she and Michael were overcome with emotion, surrounded by pure love. Under a golden flower arch adorned with the heartfelt message “It was always you,” their loved ones watched as Michael presented a golden snitch containing the ring. With joyful tears, she said yes.
