Thanks to the help of their dads, Tanner and Jordan have known about each other since elementary school. Jordan would visit Tanner’s house with her dad, where they played games and enjoyed cookies freshly baked by Tanner’s mom. As the years went on, they became Facebook friends and followed each other on Instagram, but only exchanged the occasional happy birthday message. They went to different schools and lived separate lives—unaware that they shared mutual friends along the way. It wasn’t until a Halloween party in 2022 that fate decided to step in. Enter: the invisible string theory—the idea that people who are meant to be together are connected by an invisible thread, pulling them together at just the right time. At the party, Jordan was dressed as a fairy and Tanner as a box of wine. Tanner asked, “Do you like the Bucs?” and Jordan was thrilled. That simple question sparked a night full of conversation about Tom Brady and a promise: if they ever went to a game together, Jordan owed Tanner a cinnamon pretzel. They didn’t make things official until November 2023 at a Tampa Bay Lightning game, and the rest, as they say, is history. Since then, they’ve been to countless Tampa Bay sports games, traveled to multiple states, and even attended a week-long camping festival (which Tanner agreed to—once). They got engaged in July 2025, and Jordan was completely shocked. They celebrated with a dreamy summer vacation to Maine and came back floating on cloud nine. Since then, they’ve dove into wedding planning and are beyond excited to start this next chapter of their lives surrounded by friends and family.
