I saw this young lady's picture for a couple of years at my job on our company email. I always thought she was pretty, so one day I decided to reach out to this "PYT”. Lol ! For those of you that don't know what that means it stands for “pretty young thing". I emailed her and I started asking questions for example, where are you from, how long have you been here " etc ., and the only response she would give me was one word answers like “ Baltimore, and 5 yrs" lol sigh .. I'm like okay she's not friendly and she's definitely not feeling me... So I decided to stop pursuing her. (Cont’d ) . A few years had gone by and I had other things that had gone on in my life but I would see her at our company meetings. Then I would see her sometimes walking fast from her car to the building with the Bible in one hand, her bag and her high heel shoes in the other hand. I would just laugh. Lol 😃 Years had passed and we both were just living our lives until one day our job had a branch Christmas party. I saw her and just spoke and she did the same. I think we had a little small talk and that was it. Towards the closing of the party some of our female colleagues and I were all standing around talking. They called Rhonda over and began snickering and I could tell they were up to something. They asked Rhonda to give me a hug. Now I thought that was kind of weird and so did she at the time. Later they started questioning me about some things and then they were telling me that Rhonda was single. They thought that it might be cool if she and I hung out since they knew I was interested in her years ago. So I told them I would contact her and I did via email after the Christmas holiday. Further , my colleague Ratima who was really in my corner was sending Rhonda emails telling her about me; I mean it was almost like I was some high end sale item at Neiman Marcus and she was marketing me for sale lol 🤣. Finally, Rhonda agreed to go out with me. I took her out to dinner at Stanford Grill in Columbia , Md and we had a great time but Rhonda wasn't that happy about her food. She ordered her favorite dish salmon and it was not prepared to her satisfaction. I thought to myself this may not end well but despite my negative thoughts we had a great time! I could tell Rhonda didn’t want the night to end..Im joking it was me who didn’t want the night to end . 😊 So now here we are 7 1/2 yrs later getting ready to embark upon a beautiful life together. Everything lined up in God's time and we are both grateful for his presence in our lives. God is the reason we are where we are today. I'm truly thankful for this wonderful woman.
