forever & always

It all started at a UNLV baseball game back in 2015. It was one too many beers and sushi, but we had an absolute blast that night. Carlos knew instantly that Lindsay was the woman he wanted to marry. Lindsay on the other hand had no idea what was to come. The beautiful thing about an unconditional true love is that you must first know and love yourself fully in order to be in a healthy and loving relationship. After their few encounters at UNLV they ended up going on separate journeys for 6 years. Lindsay went through a healing journey ultimately teaching her what she wanted out of life and out of a partner. Carlos went on his own journey moving back to Utah joining the army with plans to be in the special forces. Little did they know that their paths would cross again with divine timing. After moving back from California, Lindsay was done with relationships. She made a vow to herself to get a dog, a place to live in Vegas and focus on being happy by herself. It was one of their mutual friends birthday when they finally came back into each others lives and have never looked back since. Lindsay was walking outback to get some tacos when her gaze met Carlos's. Carlos will swear that Lindsay walked up to him and said hi, but she remembers it differently. She went for the tacos and left with a husband. Who would have thought?! They talked all night until she had to go leave to pick up her howling dog that her parents were watching. They immediately connected on so many levels and it just felt so comfortable and right. She knew she wanted to see him again. She had told herself no you are supposed to work on yourself, not date again. But she knew Carlos from the past and knew that she couldn't pass up such an amazing, caring, genuine guy. This was what she had been waiting for and deserved. It was when she finally knew how to love herself that she could let love in and give love unconditionally. They never stopped talking since that night and here we are almost three years later, our love growing deeper every day and truly each others best friend. We have built such a beautiful life in just three short years. We have a house that is our sanctuary, our three fur babies who we love more than life, Carlos has his dream career and I am in the process of achieving my dream career. When people say how do you know that they are the one? You tune into your intuition and you will feel it deep within. It is a sense of peace, security, and love just radiating from the other person. Unconditional love will accept you as you are and all that you are. We are so lucky and blessed to have each other to support and lean on in this incredible journey called life.
