Award-winning Butcher’s Brasserie in the heart of Eastern Market, one of our favorite neighborhoods in Detroit. Eastern Market represents so much of what we love about this city, history, grit, creativity, and community, and Marrow sits right at the center of it all as both a neighborhood butcher shop and an inventive restaurant. We’ll enjoy a curated prix-fixe menu with vegetarian options available, Dinner is paid for and hosted by the grooms.

We’ll end the evening at Father Forgive Me, an intimate cocktail bar tucked along the Shepherd grounds. Join us for a nightcap or simply good company as we wrap up the night.

Morning Pastries at Aleo

We’ll begin the morning with pastries from James Beard Award-winning Warda Pâtisserie, known for blending North African, French, and Asian influences. Join us at the bed and breakfast for coffee, pastries, and a quiet moment together before the celebration begins.

The grooms will depart for first looks and portraits. Aleo check-out is at 10:00 AM, so feel free to move at your own pace before meeting us at Belle Isle.

Take some time to wander the Belle Isle Conservatory & Aquarium before the ceremony begins. Belle Isle has come to feel like our second backyard, just across the bridge from our home on Grand Boulevard. It’s our favorite spot to watch sunsets (and people), run with the dogs, and wave hello to Canada across the river.

A brief and intimate ceremony in the Conservatory Main Showroom, surrounded by the people who matter most to us. Family photos will follow. Please plan to enter the Showroom no earlier than 11:25 AM.
Brunch at The Whitney

Your ceremony outfit!
We’ll gather for brunch at an iconic 19th-century Detroit mansion to celebrate our first meal together as husbands! A prix-fixe menu will be served, with vegetarian options available, followed by cake. Brunch will be $50 per person. At the close of brunch, we’ll begin our honeymoon. The rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy Detroit or make your way home.
