We’re getting married!

In 10th grade, Faith transferred to Civic Leadership Academy. Carlos had already been attending Civic Leadership Academy and they became friends through mutual friends. They would hang out in groups every now and then and work on school projects but it was never anything serious. In April of 2012, Faith started attending an afterschool Jazz choir that Carlos was already a part of. After Jazz choir one day, all of the choir buddies decided to head to Carlos’ garage and play some music and Faith decided to tag along. Faith asked Carlos to teach her to play the drums and crushes started to begin. After that day, they would catch a glance at each other from across the piano or study for an important quiz together. They would see each other in Jazz choir and its something they always looked forward to and then would hang out afterwards. On May 7, 2012, Carlos asked her to be his girlfriend and the rest is history!

Carlos and Faith were actually enjoying quarantine together but realized that their anniversary fell on quarantine time. There was no way to go out on a date or travel somewhere nice. They spoke it through and decided that Faith would plan lunch and Carlos would plan dinner. Faith decided on going on a picnic lunch in a nearby park and Carlos would make dinner at home later on that night. On the day of May 7, 2020, Faith was scrambling to make drinks and sandwiches and make sure everything was perfect. Faith’s sisters (who gave her the idea to do the picnic), were helping her get ready and pretty herself up. Faith’s sisters decided to go to the park nearby with her nephew so we all went together. The picnic was perfect and romantic and Carlos and Faith were having an amazing time. Carlos wanted to walk by the water so they stood up and walked there. Carlos realized there was goose poop on the floor so he walked towards the beach area. He realized there were other people near the beach area so he walked back towards the picnic area. Faith’s sisters were being creeps and hovering around but Faith thought they were just being annoying sisters. When Carlos went down on one knee and her sisters started taking pictures, she realized what was happening. He asked her to marry him and her teary eyed response was “DUH!” They went home and Carlos had an amazing and beautiful romantic dinner planned.
