We first met through mutual friends who were playing in the adult kickball league in New Braunfels. We played together as teammates but never truly interacted with each other. Once the league had come to a close we parted ways and did not cross paths again until months later. We reconnected at a friend's get together. Carlos told Elizabeth he was interested in forming his own kickball team and asked for her phone number. It was not until later that the truth was revealed: Carlos had no desire to form his own team - only to see Elizabeth again. This was the best pickup line ever invented because it worked! The rest is history!

We have been together for nearly ten years. We met when we were in our early twenties and have been able to witness growth individually, but also together as one. We were able to achieve a big milestone when we purchased our home together on December 31st, 2019. Our focus was on transitioning into the new responsibilities of home ownership. We both knew the time was right and chose to go engagement ring shopping. A few rings were selected but the ultimate decision was left to Carlos on which one he wanted to give as a symbol of never ending love and commitment. Carlos was responsible for choosing when the right moment would be to pop the question. The moment later presented itself at Carlos' 30th birthday party at our home. Carlos got down on one knee surrounded by family and friends to ask the question, "Will you marry me?" Overwhelmed with joy and tears the response was quick and easy. A simple, "yes" has started a new milestone for us! We look forward to seeing you in January 2021!
