On Sunday April 16, 2023 Noemi was on her bus route promoting carnival Sunday. After the festivities, they all loaded up on her bus and the bus wouldn’t start. Since they weren’t able to get the bus going they had to combine with another bus, which Carlos happened to be driving. At that moment, Carlos had recognized who she was, but only as a friend of his sister. There wasn’t much said on their first interaction, but Noemi had thanked him for driving the bus and that was the beginning of their love story.
