I (Marlene) started working at the comedy house in October of 2018 as a bartender; Carlos was a grill cook. When the Bar Manager walked me around to introduce me to everyone, neither one of us noticed the other. I couldn't remember Carlos' name to save my life, lol. I used to say "what's Dee Dee's brother's name?" I would ask different people so I wouldn't look crazy. We didn't pay attention to each other for months. It wasn't until early April that there was recognition, that's because we found out we are the same zodiac. We began to conversate more at work not much about anything. Carlos came to my birthday party I had in 2019. He pretty much stayed to himself but claims he had a good time. We got closer as friends. He did try to shoot his shot the night of the party, but nope he hit a brick. As time went on we would talk about his children and how much they mean to him. I found that to be a big flex. I was his Usher Song (IYKYK). For the people who don't believe in the term " it just happened" we are the perfect example of it. We think the same thoughts until it could be scary at times how we can complete each others sentences. Carlos has showed me it's okay to be vulnerable. He loves me like no other. I know I am fully protected on Earth. I was never able to be my true authentic self, smile or laugh genuinely, nor able to show my weaknesses until I met Carlos. I had to go through what I went I went through to be where I'm at now.... HAPPY AND IN LOVE!! I met Lena when she started at the comedy house. I wasn't interested in anyone at the time, I was in a dark space at that time. After a while of seeing how cool she was from a distance, I wanted to get to know her. Lena is a chill person, easy to talk to and cool to hang out with. When I was going through rough times she would talk to me or come get me out the house and go to the lake just to clear my head. She was always there for me. Our friendship made me look at her differently I started to have feeling. I was attracted to her personality, how calm she can be, her patience, her caring and nurturing spirit. I can't say when I knew she was the one but I knew I want to see more of what she is about. I have a lot of 1st times with Boo ( aka Marlene). If you haven't had the pleasure of being around her you're missing out how funny she is. I never knew what true love felt like until I met my future wife. I always felt God had us cross paths at the time he knew we needed each other.

On Valentine's Day 2024 I was at work and Los was off. It was a normal day for me until he called me at work saying, "I got something for you, if you don't like it you can change it if you want." From that I had an idea of what he was talking about. I said to myself this man got me a ring. I wanted to be excited but what if I was wrong this time. I came home and he seemed kinda nervous. I wasn't paying too much attention to him when I saw his set-up. It was flowers, a cute teddy bear, and an edible arrangement. I was smiling from ear to ear. Then he had a bag and he was rumbling in it. I thought he was gonna give me some candy but when I turned my back to get some fruit, I heard the bag rumble again. When I turned around, he had the box in his hand and said I know you said you would say yes to being my wife but would you say yes to being my fiancée? I was like OMG he wants to marry me. I said yes followed by what changed your mind? He said it just felt right. I was elated. I started sending pictures to everyone. I'm marrying my bestest friend!!
