Travel Note
This is the Motor City, so we do recommend renting a car to explore the region if you have time, but we promise it's not necessary. The airport here has a some sweet options you might not often see outside of Detroit. (We rented a Dodge Challenger with a Hemi on our first trip to Detroit together, and you see where that got us!) Uber and Lyft are also options.
Travel Note
There are lots of hotel options in Detroit, from your international chains to some one-of-a-kind gems that have been popping up in recent years. There are only two hotels in town with wedding blocks available, so we've listed them first. The others are our favorites for the design, hospitality, and overall experience. They are all close to downtown (and our venue in Brush Park), but feel free to venture out into the surrounding areas. There are also some great AirBNBs in Detroit's historic neighborhoods, if that's more your thing.

This is where you'll find the wedding block under Davidson-Liburdi! In the heart of downtown, this hotel is a short walk from Detroit's two infamous Coney Island diners (where we had our first late night date in Detroit). It's your standard old faithful Westin, retrofitted into a historic hotel.

This recently converted firehouse is another awesome hotel option downtown. It has a great bar/restaurant on the ground floor and has gallery events happening throughout the year.
Hotel
This recently renovated boutique hotel has the best rooftop bar in the city, located in the heart of downtown.
Hotel
Another recent renovation downtown, this boutique hotel is in the old piano factory. The rooms are on the small side, but they pack in huge design points. They also have a great coffee shop, the Candy Bar (that's with booze, not actual candy), a sweet lounge, and an adorable diner to get breakfast (or a late snack) while you're here.
Hotel
This is an old Victorian mansion retrofitted into a cute little bed and breakfast just a short walk to the Detroit Institute of Arts. Ghosts are possible.
Hotel
This converted motor lodge once featured a vending machine with clean underwear in the parking lot. It's cleaned up a lot since its seedy heyday, and now features a great indoor/outdoor restaurant and bar with a bandstand that's often in use.
Hotel
A trusty Hilton with a pool.
