We said yes and now we can't wait to say I do! We are so excited to share our love and commitment with you!

We like to joke that we met in the supermarket when Chris dropped a can of tomato sauce on Kristen’s foot resulting in months of both mending a broken foot and building a relationship with each other. The truth is that we were both searching for our Person (Thanks Hinge!) and found an immediate connection after several days of chatting non-stop. On our first date, we shared a great lunch, great conversation and a realization of so many shared values and ambitions, even as Kristen sat wincing in pain. Several more dates, plenty of nagging to get that foot looked at 😊 (surprise, surprise…it was a broken foot from a hiking fall) and we never looked back as we began to build a strong connection, and a relationship full of love and respect and eventually a life together.

It was a completely still, pitch black and temperate morning as our alarm rang out at 4:15am at our campsite at Blackwoods Campground in Acadia National Park. We rubbed the sleep from our eyes and got ourselves together as Kristen groggily got in the car and Chris tried to contain the excitement and anxious anticipation of the morning ahead as we got on the road to the summit of Cadillac Mountain. The mountain peak is the first place the sun shines its light on the continental USA, and this day was to be the first day of the rest of our lives. As we watched the sun break the horizon on an overcast day, Chris nervously waited for his moment. A quiet moment on a scenic overlook away from the crowds, Chris got down on one knee and professed all the reasons that this sunrise and all the sunrises to follow will be shared together as a couple devoted to each other for the rest of our lives. The rest of our week was full of celebration, love and adventure as we shared great meals, champagne toasts, kayaked, and ascended the side of a classic Acadia hike clinging to iron bars (Kristen needed a little extra support for the Beehive Trail!). All of these magical moments have set the stage for an amazing wedding we get to share with so many of our loved ones, and the ultimate goal of building a life together full of happiness and love ❤.
