Our love story began in the summer of 2012 while we were working Quest, Radford University’s Summer New Student Orientation. From the very beginning, there was an ease between us—a quiet comfort that felt rare and grounding. We didn’t quite blend in with everyone else, but we found a sense of belonging with each other. Throughout that summer, there were subtle signs we were connected, even if we didn’t yet know what they meant. Looking back now, in photos from those days, we’re almost always standing close—drawn together without even realizing it. Those days were filled with campus walks, late-night conversations, and horror movies (which Shawn didn’t really love, but watched anyway). A gentle bond formed—one that lingered long after that summer came to an end. Life eventually carried us in different directions, but some connections are patient. Years later, we found our way back to each other, and it felt as though no time had passed at all. This time, the timing was perfect—and now, with full hearts, we invite you to join us as we begin this beautiful new chapter of our lives.
