FAQs

Question

HOW DO I RSVP? & WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON'T RSVP IN TIME?

Answer

Please click the RSVP tab above! Reminder to RSVP no later than Wednesday, April 1st. If you do not RSVP by April 1st, you will be marked as 'will not attend.' Final numbers are due to our vendors, & we will not be able to make any concessions for guests that miss the RSVP deadline.

Question

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I CAN'T MAKE IT?

Answer

You will be missed! If you cannot attend our wedding, please indicate that you will not attend on the RSVP tab above. If you have already RSVP'd 'will attend,' but find that you can no longer make it, please notify Carlin or Frank as soon as possible.

Question

CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN? OR A PLUS ONE?

Answer

We are only able to accommodate guests that are formally listed on your wedding invitation. Your invite will be made out to '(Your Name) & Guest' if a plus one has been reserved for you. Similarly, your invite will be made out to 'The (Your Name) Family' if the whole crew is invited. All invited guests will be explicitly listed when you RSVP via the tab above. Due to space limitations, those not listed are asked to not attend.

Question

WHAT IS THE TIMELINE?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 2:00 p.m. Guests arriving after this time will sadly miss the ceremony, so we encourage everyone to arrive a little early! Cocktail hour will be from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner, dancing, and plenty of drinks at the reception. The bar will close at 10:30 p.m., and doors close at 11pm, so plan to stay and celebrate with us all evening long!

Question

WHAT SHOULD WE DO BETWEEN THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION?

Answer

After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking photos, so we won’t be available for guest photos right away. You’re welcome to relax at your hotel or check out some of the nearby bars and spots around the venue—we’ve got a full list on the Things to Do / Bars & Restaurants page of our website!

Question

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

Answer

Dress code is semi-formal attire. Ladies are welcome to wear floor-length, tea-length, or midi dresses. Gentlemen may wear a suit with a tie, bow tie, or no tie—whatever suits your style. Our bridal party will be wearing black, so no need to worry about matching them. We kindly ask that guests avoid white, ivory, cream, champagne, or other light shades traditionally reserved for the bride.

Question

IS PARKING AVAILABLE?

Answer

Our venue has limited parking spaces, & therefore, we highly suggest you call a ride share rather than driving your own car. Additionally, we will have an open bar & hope that you all are able to thoroughly enjoy it. If driving is a must, once the venues spaces are full there are a number of paid spaces near the venue & throughout Downtown Kansas City.

Question

IS THE WEDDING OUTSIDE?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both take place indoors. Cocktail hour will be held downstairs, and please note there is no elevator access. If stairs are difficult for you, we recommend joining us for the reception instead.

Question

CAN I TAKE PICTURES DURING THE CEREMONY?

Answer

We kindly request that guests do not take photos during the event. We have professional photographers to capture every moment so we can unplug and enjoy!

Question

WILL THERE BE ALCOHOL?

Answer

Yes, we will have an open bar for all of our guests to enjoy complimentary drinks throughout the event.

Question

WHERE SHOULD I STAY?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are about 15 minutes apart. We recommend staying downtown, closer to the reception venue. For hotel suggestions and more details, please visit the Travel page on our website.

Question

I STILL HAVE QUESTIONS!

Answer

For any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to Carlin, Frank, or their Parents!
