Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is black tie optional. Below are guidelines and specific examples from Google of what black tie optional is! Black tie optional is a dress code that suggests a formal, upscale event where a tuxedo is preferred but not required, allowing guests the choice between a tuxedo or a dark suit. For Men: Best Options: A traditional black tuxedo with a bow tie. Alternative: A sharp, dark suit (black, charcoal, or deep navy) with a white shirt and a conservative tie. Key Details: Well-polished leather dress shoes (like Oxfords) and a white pocket square are recommended to maintain a formal look. For Women: Best Options: A floor-length evening gown or a very formal midi-length dress. Alternatives: A dressy cocktail dress, a formal jumpsuit, or a dark, sophisticated dress. Key Details: Choose dark, rich colors (navy, emerald, burgundy, or black) and formal materials. Key Takeaways: Optional Means Preferred: While not mandatory, wearing a tuxedo is encouraged to match the host's formal theme. Avoid: Light-colored suits, casual patterns, overly casual jumpsuits, or dresses shorter than knee-length. Context: It signifies a highly polished, elegant event, likely held in the evening with a multi-course dinner.
