We're getting married!

Trevor and I first met in the fall of 2013. I was attending college at Cal State San Marcos – going to classes during the day and waiting tables on nights and weekends at Buca di Beppo in Carlsbad. That September Trevor made the crazy decision to pick up his life and leave his hometown of Newport, Rhode Island to move 3,000 miles away to Southern California – Carlsbad, specifically. With no restaurant experience on his resume, he somehow found himself waiting tables at Buca di Beppo. We clicked instantly and always had the best time together. We formed a strong friendship over the course of about a year and a half and then on April 1, 2015, Trevor asked me to be his girlfriend – yes, April Fool’s Day (leave it to Trevor!) From that day on, I knew that we had found something special that doesn’t come around all that often. We’ve had so many life adventures together since that day, 7 years ago, and have only grown stronger and closer with each one.

It was two days after one of our biggest milestones – moving into our first home – that Trevor decided to “pop the question”. We didn’t have much unpacked and were basically living out of boxes, but Trevor managed to set up a romantic dinner in our new backyard with good wine, candles, music and an amazing meal that he cooked. He blindfolded me and walked me outside to the table he set up. When I took off my blindfold he was down on one knee, asking me to be his wife. It was an easy yes! We are both so looking forward to starting this new chapter together, and can't wait to celebrate with all of our favorite people.
