FAQs

The questions everyone wants to know the answer to....
Question

How did the engagement happen?

Answer

During our annual Kelley family vacation to Siesta Key, Florida we take sunset pictures every year. So, when we dressed up nice and went to the beach Carlie thought nothing of it. Carlie was dancing around on the sand and being her normal goofy self while Shane waited on one knee behind her. After Carlie turned around there was lots of excitement, hugs and memories to make Siesta Key even more special to us now.....

Question

Why August 11th?

Answer

August 11th 2020 is when we started dating, we wanted to keep our same anniversary so we eloped on August 11th 2025

Question

Why are we not having a wedding?

Answer

We started to plan a wedding and then saw how expensive one day of our lives would become. While sitting in a 500 square foot apartment we decided our dream of buying a house was what we wanted even more than a wedding. So, house shopping we went, in October we finally found that perfect house. In November we moved in, and now we have a house that is all ours to start our life as newly-weds!

Question

Did Carlie's outfit in the pictures have any significance?

Answer

Yes! Carlie has always wanted to incorporate her mom's wedding dress into her own dress. But, with no wedding plans we had to get creative. The corset top paired with jeans is handmade by Diane Caoua from her wedding dress, it is the perfect special touch to our pictures! As for the white dress, everyone feels beautiful in a long white dress and pearls

Question

Will there be a wedding or celebration later?

Answer

Short answer, yes, sometime next year! More info to come at a later date

Question

What is on your registry?

Answer

Check out the next tab over for cash funds, we have taken lots of time to brainstorm what our registry will look like. After much consideration we have decided contributing to different funds rather than being gifted new items is a better route for us as new home owners
