Josh and I met at the Peach Festival in Byron, GA. Josh was performing with his band at the event. When it started to rain my mom, sister, best friend, and I ran under a tent beside the stage to keep from getting drenched. The band also had to stop playing and cover up the equipment. While everything was at a halt, Josh, being his normal self, started walking around talking with everyone. Eventually, making his way over where we were he squatted down on the stage to see under the tent. My mom embarrassing me, (as every mom does) asked Josh to walk down under the tent and talk to us all. We took a few photos and he gave us his social media information. From that day forward we would occasionally talk, through text or Snapchat, and I would attend most of his shows. On October 13, 2018, he finally asked me out on a date and we have been inseparable ever since.
Another weekend, another show. Well at least that is what I thought but I would soon realize I was wrong. Pulling into the show Josh's older sister told me this was not only a show but it was also a late anniversary party for Josh and me. Being that our anniversary was just the week before I did not think anything of it. Before the show began a slide show started playing with photos of me and Josh over the past two years. As the video was playing I slowly began to realize what was really about to happen. In the end, words came across the screen that said: "turn around." When I turned around Josh was there on one knee asking me to MARRY HIM. I was so happy the only thing I could do was cry and shake my head yes.
