Carlie had never seen Friends. Not one episode. And honestly, she was fine keeping it that way. But when she came across Brennan’s Hinge profile — complete with a photo of him and his friends recreating scenes from an episode of Friends — she paused. Could this be a dealbreaker? She didn’t think so. But just to be safe, she sent a message: “Be honest… is it a deal breaker that I’ve never seen Friends? ” Brennan replied: “No, not a deal breaker. We can watch it together!” That was the beginning. Their first date was at Brewery X — casual, a little noisy, the perfect setting to laugh without pressure. They ordered drinks, talked about church, family, travel, music, and the worst dating app experiences they'd survived. Their second date they went mini golfing and talked over drinks at Carlie's Car Bar, a bar that Carlie set up in her trunk in the Camelot parking lot. They laughed a lot more and got into deeper conversations about their goals in life. As the year passed — filled with small trips, breweries and wine tastings, church and family Sundays, and way too many inside jokes, they learned that life without each other just wasn't an option. When Brennan got down on one knee on a flower lined bridge in Corona Del Mar to finally pop the question, Carlie didn’t hesitate. "YESSS!!!" They celebrated by going back to Brewery X, where it all began, to meet up with friends and family where they were embraced with so much love and support. Now they’re planning a wedding — something simple, a little quirky, and full of love, family, and of course friends, not the show... lol Though Carlie still hasn’t finished the series, he still thinks that they are perfect together and assures her "I'll be there for you" through all the stages of life to come. Brennan and Carlie cannot wait to say their "I Do's" in front of all of you on June 27, 2026!
