We're getting married!

Miles and Carli's story started at the mature age of 8, when Carli showed up as the new girl in school and Miles immediately developed what would become a 10-year crush. They spent their childhood playing outside in the neighborhood together, where Miles quickly discovered that Carli had a special talent for tripping, falling, and finding creative ways to hurt herself. (Spoiler: it wasn't just a phase.) As they grew up and moved through high school, they drifted into different friend groups. They'd see each other in passing in the hallways, always in similar circles but never quite in the same orbit. It took being 10 hours apart in college for them to finally reconnect – all because Carli commented on a sunset photo Miles posted from Colorado. When they saw each other over Christmas break that year, they both felt it immediately: they were home. After 5 years of long distance (which they're pretty sure earned them some kind of medal), Miles proposed to Carli on a beach in the Dominican Republic in April. The waves rolled in at just the right moment, as if kissed with God's approval. Now, these childhood friends turned best friends are ready to spend forever together – and Miles has accepted that he'll be watching Carli trip over things for the rest of his life.
