Nos conocimos por primera vez en el Hotel InterContinental donde ambos trabajábamos en Dublín, Irlanda. Carlian se había mudado a Dublin desde Florida para realizar un internado en el hotel. Leonel se habia mudado a Dublin en 2022 para completar cursos de ingles y empezoa trabajar en el mismo hotel. Se conocieron tres días después de que ella comenzara a trabajar allí, cuando Leonel inició una conversación con ella. Una semana después, Carlian fue invitada a una fiesta a la que asistía su amiga y, para su sorpresa, el anfitrión de la fiesta era Leonel. Allí se conocieron mejor y él la invitó a tomar un café. Al día siguiente, fueron a una cafetería italiana llamada "Caffe Nero" donde pidieron 1 café cada uno y hablaron durante 4 horas hasta que la cafetería cerró. They met three days after she started working there, when Leonel started a conversation with her. A week later, Carlian was invited to a party her friend was attending and, to her surprise, the host of the party was Leonel. There they got to know each other better and he invited her to have coffee. The next day, they went to an Italian coffee shop called "Caffe Nero" where they ordered 1 coffee each and talked for 4 hours until the coffee shop closed. From there they began their friendship that later turned into romance.
