Carley and Michael’s story began at Susquehannock high school in 2009. They joined the school’s “Link Crew” organization and first met during a team-building outing before the start of the school year. They attended homecoming together in the fall and then started dating in October 2009. Their relationship has only grown stronger with time. Michael attended Gettysburg College after high school, where he obtained a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Carley attended Salisbury University after Susquehannock, where she obtained a degree in Earth Sciences. Their relationship in college flourished despite the long-distance between them. Many weekends in college were spent traveling between Gettysburg and Salisbury. They often enjoyed partying at Michael’s fraternity house or spending the weekend in Ocean City with Carley’s friends. In 2014, Michael began medical school at the University of Maryland. After college, Carley worked as a dental assistant at Stonebridge Dental. She obtained further education in 2018 and became an expanded functions dental assistant. Carley and Michael continued to build their relationship throughout the next four years despite their limited free time. They both enjoyed attending Orioles baseball games and exploring different bars in downtown Baltimore. After Michael graduated from medical school, they moved into an apartment together. Michael began his residency training in general surgery at MedStar Baltimore, while Carley continued to work at Stonebridge Dental. In January 2020, Michael proposed to Carley at a restaurant that overlooked the downtown Baltimore skyline. They agreed to a short engagement and eagerly planned a wedding ceremony. Carley and Michael both are so grateful for the love and support of their families and friends throughout their relationship. We thank you all for traveling to Maryland’s Eastern Shore and look forward to celebrating the start of our marriage with you!
