WOW! What a journey this has been. For those who don't know, let us brief you on our trials, tribulations and victories. We met in 2012 via Instagram. This is where our appreciation for technology developed. How beautiful is it that we met from many miles away and have been able to maintain a relationship filled with communication, laughter and constant support. Whether our connection be friendship or more, there has always been a deep respect for one another. We officially met in person in early 2019 -- just in time for a global pandemic to strike. Through determination and hard work, we were still able to see one another every 6-9 months. Celebrating the little moments to keep involvement in everyday moments. We have been there for one another, no matter the severity of a situation -- baring through immigration, moments of grief, or celebrating the love that surrounds us. In that knowledge, we truly feel there is nothing sweeter than to know we are sharing the rest of our lives with one another. In December 2022, we got engaged! Everything was on schedule until we received a letter from immigration telling us they didn’t think our relationship was real. That unless we got married within 30 days, our entire application would be denied. Panic mode set in!!!! We bought Mel a ticket to Utah so we could make it official. We officially got married in June of 2023. Shortly after, in September of 2023, we received my Confirmation of Permanent Residence for Canada. We got up and moved on out! We have now been celebrating truly living life together in full, for the first time. Now we are ready to party with all of you and breathe in honor of our long road.
