Derrick and I met 4 years ago, in January of 2019 at a party. A few weeks later we ran in to each other at the mall and he asked for my number. We ending up going on a date to the movies and it was then we knew, “this could be something!” We started officially dating on March 23rd, 2019 and have been soul mates ever since!

The day Derrick proposed I had no idea it was coming! My friend and I went to the mall to get our nails done because her aunt was a photographer and she was doing a best friend photoshoot for us at the park. When I got to the park she said she had an extra surprise for me and blindfolded me, I had no idea what was going on until she walked me to a bridge and she took my blindfold off. This is when I saw Derrick down on one knee with rose petals all around him, it was perfect! I was definitely in shock but have never felt butterflies like that in my life. I said “YES” and now we’re excited to spend forever together! Please join us in celebrating this next chapter in our lives! See you all in Clayton!
