The closest airport to Captiva is Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers. Several airlines from both Midway (MDW) and O'hare (ORD) Airport offer direct flights to RSW. The drive from Southwest Florida International Airport to Captiva Island is just under an hour. The airport offers rental cars, prearranged cars, and ride sharing services. Complimentary parking passes are provided by 'Tween Waters Resort should you chose to rent a car. There are 10 car rental companies onsite at RSW and the rental offices are located across the street from baggage claim. Car services with service to Captiva Islands include: CT Taxi, Island Taxi, Sanibel Double D, Sanibel Island Taxi Co., & Sanibel Limo Uber and Lyft are also available.
