Please be respectful while visiting the Basilica. We’re so grateful to celebrate our wedding within the beauty of the Catholic Mass and are especially thankful for the presence of family and friends of all faith backgrounds. If you’re not Catholic, please know that you are warmly welcomed and honored as our guest. IMPORTANT!! We know the Basilica is a beautiful space, but we are limited to a small window of time allotted in the Basilica. To ensure that we have time for our wedding photos, we kindly ask that our guests promptly exit the church after the ceremony. Because of this, we will also be unable to greet our guests outside the church, but we are so excited to greet you at the reception! If you want ample time to enjoy the beauty of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, we suggest making a visit on Friday! There are tours offered where you can learn the history of the building, and we would be honored if you would say a prayer for our marriage as you experience the space where we grew so much in faith and love.
With a daytime wedding and afternoon reception we chose garden party formal for a summery floral twist on a formal wedding. For the ladies, wear your favorite bright colored long dresses, and we suggest wearing a chunkier heel if you so choose as our reception will be outside. For the men, please wear a suit, but your fun colors are welcomed and encouraged! If you need a little inspiration, think of the fun and floral elements of the Kentucky Derby!
Please respond to your RSVP no later than Sunday, May 24th. Any responses left unanswered after this date will be considered as an RSVP "Not Going" and we will unfortunately no longer be able to add you into the guest list. Please answer in a timely manner! Additionally, as we have a limited number of people allowed at our venue, we cannot accommodate any additional guests from those specifically listed on your RSVP.
