Just as we were beginning to think that love was out of reach....we found each other one magical day on Saint Pete Beach. When we first met, we ran into each other 3 separate times in one day. If that’s not fate I don’t know what is. That night and the third time I stumbled across him we decided to go swimming. The water sparkled because the plankton let off fluorescent lights when they are disturbed. It was like a reflection of the stars on the water while we swam and laughed. The possibility of a new love, a true love was in the air. There are all kinds of clichés about love. In this case love at first sight does fit the bill. For our second date and having just met me, he drove 2 hours from Myakka city to Tarpon Springs just to pick me up. We had so much fun at a hippie festival and a quirky restaurant called Rusty Bellies. To this day words aren’t necessary for us to express how much and how deeply we love one another. Fast forward… We went to dozens of baseball games, fished from dusk till dawn and traveled all over the United States. We made a promise to always have something to look forward to so we’re always planning our next adventure. Now it’s been almost 8 years and he still kisses me every morning before he leaves. I still write him notes that he finds all over the house. We think that the key to a lasting relationship is not getting too comfortable, listening, compromise, and to never stop surprising one another. Ever since we’ve been together he brings me fresh flowers every week, never letting the previous ones die. Of course there were trying times and hurdles but those obstacles have only made our bond stronger. We can honestly say that we wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you for everybody’s support and faith in our relationship. It means more than you know. We can’t wait to see you on our wedding day, in the mountains where we have always felt most at home. God bless you all!
