Mac and I first met in high school and actually had a couple classes together—where I might have sneakily sent him a few answers here and there! We had also snapped each other throughout middle and high school, but we never really knew each other. That all changed when Mac ended up in the hospital for his appendix surgery and sent me a picture of himself there. I asked him what had happened, and from that moment on, we never stopped talking. Mac eventually asked me out on our first date at Hickory Tavern, and after that, we were inseparable. Many of our early dates included fishing, riding four-wheelers, and watching movies—simple moments that quickly became some of our favorites. After a couple of weeks of hanging out, Mac officially asked me out, and we’ve been sharing adventures, hobbies, and time with each other’s friends ever since, not to mention plenty of date nights. Four years later, on August 30, 2025, Mac proposed in an unforgettable weekend, flying my mom in to surprise me, having his mom and sister there to capture the moments, and ending with a special dinner with our families and best friends. We are proud to call ourselves high school sweethearts and wouldn’t have it any other way. We can’t wait to continue building a beautiful life together with all the love and support of our family and friends.
