Our story is not the typical 'love at first site' type of love story… Ret and I started off as partners for our clinical rotation at Rabun Gap Nacoochee School for Athletic Training. During our orientation sophomore year of college, I didn’t get good vibes from him due to the fact I had to ask him for his number in order to pick him up for our first day of clinicals together. Ret tested my boundaries when he asked me to pick him up from chickfila when we were supposed to be already heading to our assignment on that first day. If any of you know me, you know I don’t like to be late especially on the first day lol. I am glad I picked him up and did not choose to leave him behind because he became my best friend that day. We talked non-stop about everything, like we had always been friends. To say the least, we knew each other’s whole life story within the first week of being at clinical’s together. My mom started to question if I was dating this guy I had been spending so much time with but I was sure I did NOT like Ret like that. He was just my friend. Ret was consistently my go to for when I needed to talk about anything or even just needed someone to study with. On my way back from clinical’s one day I had to stop for gas when Ret told me to stay in the car and he would pump my gas for me. Even though I denied liking Ret for the longest time, I couldn’t deny the fact that he was a gentleman and my best friend. I found myself falling head over heels for him. Ret and I overcame long distance, stressful schooling, and even starting our first jobs together. After 5 years of loving each other endlessly, we are planning our perfect wedding day. We can't wait to celebrate with you all! Here is to forever, cheers!!
