Carlaskio and Francheska met his first year, her second, at El Dorado High School in El Dorado, Arkansas. Carlaskio was at a band picnic in Parkers Chapel when he was asked to leave the picnic and go fill in on the piano at Beulah Grove Baptist Church. Little did he know that Francheska would be smitten by his presence and later voice her interest to her cousin April. No time passed before April told Carlaskio about Francheska’s interest in him. The two later attended the winter formal together which made things official. They continued to date through high school and into Carlaskio's second year of college. After a disagreement, the two split. They remained friends, but at some point the talking became less and less until it was almost non-existent. Francheska later moved to Dallas and the distance made communication even more difficult. Carlaskio then moved to Texarkana, Texas upon completion of his undergrad degree. Fran and her best friend Brittany went to visit and stayed at Carlaskio's place while he was in Texarkana. It was hopeful that things would change and they would talk more....they didn't! Truth be told, it would be some 4 years before they truly started to communicate again. As the years passed, the two would connect just to “check in.” One day during casual conversation Carlaskio extended an invite to his upcoming graduation ceremony. After graduation, the increase in conversations led them to Carlaskio’s 10 year class reunion in October. While in Houston, Fran visited Carlaskio once more, and she somehow planned a surprise birthday party for him in November of 2017. After the party they continued to talk until Fran sent the message saying, "So what are we?" Not knowing what to say Carlaskio responded, "I don't just kiss my friends," so it can be assumed that this is when things started over again. Knowing that he would never want to marry anyone other than Francheska, on July 13, 2018, Carlaskio asked Francheska for her hand in marriage.
