We met in 2020, during the pandemic at time when the world slowed down and life took some unexpected turns. After being laid off from our jobs in aviation, we both ended up working at the same golf club, where a friendship quickly formed. Somewhere between shared shifts and summer days, our friendship turned into something more, and by the end of the summer, we were officially dating and very quickly falling in love. In 2022, we packed up and moved to Toronto, diving headfirst into downtown life. Over the next three years, we made the most of it. Exploring the city, trying new restaurants, making memories, and having a lot of fun along the way. We have also started a few favorite hobbies and plenty of memories along the way. We fell in love with camping, completing a total of seven camping trips, including one especially memorable trip at Awenda Provincial Park, where we got engaged. Somewhere between setting up tents and campfire dinners, we also decided to take up running and went on to complete the Montreal Half Marathon together. Last summer, we traded Toronto life for a return to Montreal to family and friends, ready for our next big adventure together. From an unexpected meeting during a very strange year to building a life together, we have learned that the best things often come when you least expect them. We can’t wait to celebrate our love and this next chapter with our family and friends.
